Skype in the Classroom
Meet the author of the middle-school-aged, adventure-mystery series, The Three Hares.
Geoffrey Simpson overcame his own challenges as a reluctant reader and struggling student, to become an honors graduate of Kent State University, and having his debut novel published. His journey through life has become a tribute toward hard work, persistence, and chasing one’s dreams.
Life’s experiences are his inspiration. He was born and raised just outside Cleveland, Ohio. From an early age, he connected with nature through camping, building forts, fishing, and treasure hunts. The Three Hares is rooted in a respect for the natural world and has a foundation built upon moral courage. A tribute to creativity stemming from one’s own life. Reluctant and voracious readers, including their parents, have found this adventure series to be a breath of fresh air.
The tone of this lesson is inspirational, with a focus on overcoming challenges as a student, working hard toward goals, and advancing the ideology of moral courage.
